Who's Rolf?
In 1989, Rolf Nilsson aimed to transform the way of working in restaurant kitchens. He wanted to create an open kitchen with guest interaction. His colleague Guy Taylor found the perfect spot on Tegnérgatan, and together with chef Rolf Dürr, they shaped the restaurant. Thus, Rolfs Kök, our sister restaurant around the corner, was born.
Klas Ljungqvist left Handels and joined Rolfs Kök in 1999. In 2003, he and childhood friend Johan Jureskog, a former member of the Swedish Culinary Team, bought Rolfs Kök and have been running it ever since.
When a nearby location became available, they saw a unique opportunity to expand their concept. They opened Rolfs Hav, the sister restaurant focusing entirely on the delicacies of the sea.
